Lubbock area youths achieve Eagle Scout rank

Scout Troop 157 will hold its Eagle Court docket of Honor and confer the rank of Eagle Scout on 10 Scouts during the awards banquet ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Saturday Aug. 7 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Heart.

The scouts are Avery West Bridges, Russell Stewart Goodwin, Kai Langehennig, John David Latour, Ethan Nathaniel Maples, Nolan Avery Maples, Keshav Ramesh, Ryan Randall Runquist, Brady Wade Scott, and Victor Hugo Wanjura, IV (Hugh).

Scoutmaster Jake Bentley reported the Eagle rank stays with the scouts in the course of a life time, with only a small share of scouts attaining this prestigious rank.

“To attain this milestone rank of Eagle Scout provides honor and pleasure not only to the scout, but to the scout’s family members and pals,” Bentley claimed.
